Today I am thankful to be home.
I was displaced due to Hurricane Sandy. Electricity never felt so good. As I sit here at my desk and enjoy the warmth of the heat, and the illumination of the house I can’t help but wonder about the countless people who are without and even more people in other parts of the world were they ongoingly don’t have basic necessities like clean water and power. The problems of our world seem so big at times that it is easy for me to fall into apathy. But alas I will still do my part, as best I can. That is all we can do, our part.

“Let everyone sweep in front of his own door, and the whole world will be clean.”
